Palm trees, for a beach wedding in Surf City, Long Beach Island, NJ. Wide diameter bamboo posts, with arrangements of teepee and aspidistra; potted ferns finish the grouping. The bride and grooms family formed a circle around them during the ceremony, to signify their unity.

MochaRose - Hubby drove 1" diameter rebar into the sand about 24" - the rebar was about 6' tall, and the bamboo was also buried into the sand about 18" for security. We have this handy tool for "digging" that you attach to a power drill. The hardest part of this set up was by farrrrrr the trekking up the dune to the street, and back, with everything. A real workout.
