    Hi Faith,

Just dropping by to visit your page and say hello! North Carolina is my favorite state! We vacation in Carova Beach almost every September! Not this year...I will be going to the SAF Convention instead! Hope you have an awesome week!

    Hi Faith,

You're not too far from me. I live in Lancaster, SC. I'm a FC newbie too! Have a great weekend!

    Hi Faith,

Yes I still do tux's. It is very profitable, I have never regreted my decision to rent them.
As far as the cost of getting started it is minimal. All you need is a seperate area with dressing rooms and a table. I took a back part of my shop, put in 3 dressing rooms, a nice round table with 6 chairs and a desk area. I also put a permanent 15' rack on the wall to hang the tuxes on. I purchased 2 folding racks for prom that I only bring out at that time.

I use this same area for wedding and funeral consultations. It is private, comfortable, and people like that.

Once you have the area set up there is no cost. The tux wholesaler brings you the book of samples free. The posters are free. The brochures to hand out cost a small amount, .20 ea. I believe, and the order pads are very inexpensive also.
I carry absolutely no inventory. They look at the book, pick out their tux, I measure them, call the order in and that's it. The week of the wedding, the tux's arrive, I check them in, make sure they are correct, (very seldom a problem) call the groom, he comes picks them up, sometimes they try them on here, and sometimes they prefer to take them home and try them on. They pay me, I pay the tuxedo warehouse. On a $150 tux, I make about $55.00, not bad for about 20 min work total, and no over head.

You should do it. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask. Good Luck

    Vikki
